Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has already announced that it will launch its flagship smartphone OnePlus 6 by the second quarter this year. Now, rumors and images about the upcoming smartphone has started surfacing online.
In the latest leak, the supposed OnePlus 6 has been spotted with an edge-to-edge display and an iPhone X-like notch on top. The leaked OnePlus 6 images also reveal a vertical dual rear camera setup on the back of the handset.
ITHome, a Chinese technology blog has also shared some snapshots of a smartphone which is expected to be the OnePlus 6. The images highlight that the device sports a glass body design and a bezel-less display. The images also show that the notch will consist of a selfie camera of the device. It is also expected that the company will incorporate the same face unlock feature as the iPhone X .
The report suggests the supposed OnePlus 6 - with model number P7819 - will come with specifications such as 6GB RAM, 64GB inbuilt storage, and Android 8.1 Oreo. However, these are unconfirmed reports and need to be taken with a pinch of salt; there are still several days to go before we might see renders from authentic sources. We can expect the phone to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, keeping in mind the company's statement made on the sidelines of CES this year.
Earlier, this month OnePlus started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo update for its flagship smartphone OnePlus 5T. The update brings latest operating system version, some bug fixes and mitigation for CPU vulnerability including Spectre attacks. The update also pushes out latest version of the default launcher and the Gallery app to version 2.0. Along with this, OxygenOS 5.0.3 upgrades the version of Weather app and File Manager to version 1.9 and version 1.7.6 respectively.
