Google’s Gemini AI chatbot stirred controversy over biased responses and historically inaccurate images, prompting investor Samir Arora to call for CEO Sundar Pichai’s resignation. Criticism arose as the chatbot provided ‘biased’ answers on PM Narendra Modi and generated inaccurate historical images devoid of ‘White’ individuals.
Arora, founder of Helios Capital, criticized Google’s handling of the AI debacle, labeling it a ‘failure’ despite its AI leadership. He suggested Pichai should be fired or resign due to the mishap.
The controversy stemmed from Gemini AI’s response to political queries, where it failed to provide clear answers on Modi, unlike Trump and Zelenskyy. Google acknowledged the issue and attributed it to the chatbot’s unreliability in addressing certain political topics.
