Renowned tech mogul Elon Musk unveils plans for X platform to offer long-form videos on smart television sets. Fortune magazine reports X’s upcoming TV app launch for Amazon and Samsung users next week.
In October, X introduced video and audio calling, aligning with Musk’s goal to evolve it into an all-encompassing super app. Responding to user inquiries, Musk confirms the imminent availability of long-form videos on smart TVs.
X Platform TV app is expected to resemble Google’s Youtube TV app, indicating Musk’s aim to compete with the popular video-sharing platform.

As X aims to establish itself as a “video-first platform,” strategic alliances with prominent figures like Tucker Carlson and Don Lemon are being forged. Recently, X introduced the “Articles” feature, coinciding with potential regulatory changes in the EU under the Digital Markets Act.
The Articles feature allows users to share comprehensive content, including images, videos, GIFs, and links, in addition to plain text. Users can format articles with options like headings, subheadings, bold, italics, and more for enhanced readability. Audience control functionality enables users to dictate who can access their articles, promoting privacy and security.
