Dell Technologies (NYSE: DELL) and Nokia (NYSE: NOK) have announced an extension of their strategic partnership, leveraging their expertise and cutting-edge solutions to propel open network architectures and accelerate the adoption of private 5G among businesses.
Nokia will designate Dell as its preferred infrastructure partner for existing Nokia AirFrame customers, integrating Dell’s technology into telecom cloud deployments. The collaboration aims to seamlessly transition AirFrame customers to Dell’s expansive infrastructure portfolio, including purpose-built Dell PowerEdge servers tailored for modern telecom network workloads.
Conversely, the Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (NDAC) private wireless solution will become Dell’s preferred platform for enterprise edge use cases. Through integration with Dell NativeEdge, a comprehensive edge operations software platform, the partnership will deliver scalable solutions for enterprises seeking robust connectivity solutions.

Dennis Hoffman, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Telecom Systems Business at Dell Technologies, emphasizes the collaborative effort’s ability to scale modern telecom networks and private 5G use cases swiftly, leveraging both companies’ expertise and distribution networks.
Nishant Batra, Chief Strategy and Technology Officer at Nokia, highlights the partnership’s flexibility and customer-centric approach, noting Dell’s digital transformation expertise and global scale complement Nokia’s experience in mobile network deployment. The collaboration extends beyond infrastructure deployment to encompass joint research and development efforts in core network functions. Dell and Nokia will collaborate on platform and application testing, as well as lifecycle management in the Dell Open Telecom Ecosystem Lab.
Looking ahead, the partners plan to certify workloads on Dell Telecom Infrastructure Blocks supporting Nokia Cloud offerings, while continuing to engage in OEM collaborations.
Through this extended partnership, Dell Technologies and Nokia are poised to drive innovation in telecom ecosystems and empower enterprises to harness the transformative potential of private 5G connectivity.
